Coprosma
Nothing brightens up the winter border more than
Coprosma, also called ‘Mirror Plant’ because of its thick shiny leaves. These
evergreen beauties change colors as the days shorten and temperatures cool.
‘Evening Glow’ has a golden foliage which changes from oranges to shades of pink
while ‘Fire burst’ begins with green leaves and orange margins then changes to a
dramatic red with green. Coprosma look stunning in containers along with
Heucheras and Creeping Jenny. Protect from frost is needed as is a sunny spot
with some afternoon shade. Some varieties can reach four to five feet while
others are more compact. Add some shine to you garden this fall and reflect on
all you’ve done this year.
